I keep saying this, go play GTA if you wanna run over or shoot people. Its already been said you cant pull your weapon you end up taking out your notebook.

I like the sound of that. 'FREEZE! I'm going to write you're name down' Big Grin

It's like complaining that Uncharted doesn't have free roam. You can't really knock a game for not having features that shouldn't be in the game.

I am quite tired of people trying to justify the limitations Dev's put on players. Such as not been able to swim or use your gun when you want. These things should be left up to the player. Just because you can draw your gun when you want doesn't mean you have to. However it's good for those who want to.

Having said that i can live with it. As it will force me to play as the good guy for once. Something i don't do much as I always get tempted to be the bad guy. Smile

I dunno. It's good that you can live with it, because it happens a lot in today's gaming industry in terms of limitations set for players. That's probably because when they're developing it, they already have set things in mind that they want the player to experience just the way they had intended it.

RE: no free shooting
Well their are plenty of other games you can go shooting and smashing into everyone everywhere. I know this has been hinted at before, but this is going to be a different and good change imo, in which its not about running npc or rampages, which get old after a while. I am happy that i will be in charge of the city so too speak, and that in this beautiful redone city we have some power in which we can go at our own pace, and not smack into a car and have a one star rating and have to run tolose that rating. i can take my time driving and seeing the city without knowing that the cops will chase me after each car i smack, and at a crime scene i can take my time and conduct it at my own pace.

really?

...well I think it's for the best since it wouldn't really make sense for Cole to be investigating murders while casually killing others at the same time Blink!

I'll laugh if it's like it was in Driver, where no matter how fast you were going or how unexpected a maneuver you made the people ALWAYS managed to jump out of the way.

RE: no free shooting
Im ok, with the idea of not shooting guys because you are a cop,

Though as i always think, there are primary systems that Devs should not block but penalize in their career development or score they wan't realism give as much freedom as you can though you can put your rules.

As well as in the endgame if there is some Free roaming, you should be able to shoot.

As in RdR, You could not swim that was kinda disappointing because the game was great overall, swimming is something everyone can do, but well i guess there was no point at all you would only swim for "fun", since there was no underwater shooting or missions lol.

^ i can see in the end or other dlc's that we are able to do certain things like you guys are mentioning, i cant see them taking seven years to just release some cases as dlc and not utilizing this awesome era.
