Interesting tidbit from a new interview

The key thing I read in another interview is that Rockstar is not interested in main characters who don't change anymore. Older Rockstar games, GTA San Andreas for example, take your character through an adventure, and he might get more stuff, but he doesn't really change. Those days are over. Characters aren't going to be the same at the end as in the beginning. Something big will happen.

That would actually make for a fairly interesting game. I know it's been done before, but not in a realistic character driven game like this.
