Tell me about it. I went into Gamestop today (picked up Portal 2 to hold me over) and I realized that until PSN is back up 3/4 of the PS3 library is useless. Especially when you consider that for all the Triple A games that came out in the tail-end of last year to the first half of this year pretty much all have 5-8 hour campaigns max.

And I'm sorry but to that other comment, no amount of people running to buy 360s is going to help either. Yeah so, Sony gets a louder message that they fucked up by talking with your dollar but these things take time.

RE: As a Playstation gamer getting this game, I'm not concerned about PSN
I dont have a PS3. I was interested in getting one, but funds wont allow it. Nor time to play on it.

I really hope the PSN gets up soon, and I hope that the games released on PS isn't as many games released on PC these days where you need to connect to the net to sort of activate the game. That would be really upsetting for anyone on the PS. I really hope that is not the case here. I'm rooting for you PS players that the game will be playable for you on the day you get it.

Once I have L.A. Noire in my hands, the status of the PSN will be the least of my worries(to a certain extent).

This game looks like it will be GOTY and its ridiculously huge!!!!

RE: As a Playstation gamer getting this game, I'm not concerned about PSN
Chances are the SONY problem is already sorted out. The reason they might be waiting till the end of the month is because of the freebies they are putting on there. This way old & new PS3 gamers all get the same amount of time to try the 1 month PS plus offer.

As for PS3 gamers not having redeem access on the 20th. Yeah its a kacker, but the best way to look at it, is that we will have some new stuff to try out when PSN is back.

Oh and don't think I am a fanboy of Sony. This happening and the fact that Sony are not what you would call customer friendly, and pay no attention to the community, will prevent me from buying another future Sony product.

L.A. Noire : PS3 Platinum Squad.

RE: As a Playstation gamer getting this game, I'm not concerned about PSN
Well I am kinda bummed that the PSN is still down since i got brink the other day from gamestop which is also where i pre-ordered L.A. Noire from as well and gamestop told me that they will not be giving out any DLC preorder codes for any games until the PSN Store is back up and you will be contacted by phone once it is Back online, so no preorder code for my Brink game and most likely L.A. Noire as well if psn is not back up by the 17th. Now he did say if the code comes inside the cases you will get it only the codes on the receipt for DLC will not be there.

Hey speaking of Brink how long is the single player? I was going to get it yesterday but I passed on it for Portal because with PSN down I wanted a single player game to tide me over until LA Noire.

Yea, most of that didn't make fucking sense. Start writing more coherently next time. I told you it was a rant and in a rant people curse, get over it.

I don't know about Brink, but I know that Crysis 2 has a really nice Single Player, for a FPS anyway.

Rockstar are still one of the few great companies today that always produce a great single player. Part of the reason I love them.

I agree with you, OP.

I never play games online. PSN being down doesn't bother me in the slightest, and I'm sure I'll survive without my DLC suit. As I've said before, I'll be really stoked that I can finally play the game rather than worrying about a DLC.

And in the meantime they'll have angry users who switch over to Xbox, rants, PSN forum rioting, and general loss of profit?

Wow, what a nice idea!

They aren't doing that for fun, you know.

RE: As a Playstation gamer getting this game, I'm not concerned about PSN
I'm surprised Sony can't remedy their issue soon enough. I've never heard of a console having an incident like this before, or network for that matter. This is the very first time, right? Are many fans crossing over to the Xbox 360? Maybe for now but what I've been hearing is that most PS3 users love their console. I must say there has been an influx of PS3 users playing RDR multiplayer on the 360. I've met some nice people from the other side.

Are there whips involved? No? Then they're not working hard enough.

I'm just kidding, I know fine well that the people fixing the mess wont be the same ones who caused it. The people to blame are the higher-ups who made the decision to skimp out on security in order to pocket a bit of extra money. And the worst part is that if anyone does lose their job over this it will probably be the poor little guy who takes the fall instead of one of the bigshots responsible.

Seriously though, whips are needed here somewhere. Preferably big, heavy, barbed ones that require a two handed grip.
