My Thoughts,

I do think this is a great feature for people who just cannot work a certain case.

I doubt this feature will be used much by "Big Fans" of the game.

I wonder what missions in GTA4 were "extremely difficult".

I dont remember any of them being difficult, or the two DLC Episode missions weren't difficult either.

There wasn't any difficult missions in the IV series. I'm definitely not skipping anything with Noire.

LOL, I dont see any reason for this feature.. like GTA Vice City happening, you have to do that mission, easy or not but you do the mission. You cry and play or finish it with style. No reliefs, I take example games what was easy : gta stories from liberty city, mafia 2... Good story though.

RE: L.A. Noire Lets Players Skip Hard Bits
There was some debate about this kind of thing over on GTAF. I think it's a good move; it takes absolutely nothing away from the game while opening it up to people who don't like and/or aren't good at the action side of things.

The way it was put into practice in Red Dead Redemption wasn't perfect, as that game is action-based, but it worked well enough. I can see the option being a better fit for L.A. Noire, as the action is less of a focus.

I cant remember the last time I played any game where I wish I had a feature to skip a certain part.

Doesn't bother me, surprising that LA noire is being streamlined for lesser experienced players

-Control rumbling near clues
-Clues are shiny
-Partner points the way to go
-Skipping hard bits

I won't be using any assists though.

I think it's a cool feature. I usually don't do that though. I play it until I beat it, then progress.

I'm going to live the life of a detective, so that means no helpers. Does the world rumble when a detectice goes to a inexplicably glowing evidence? Do they get to push the "skip" button because something was too damned hard for them? No!

I hope this doesn't mean the action sequences are missable affairs.

I wonder if it would've been possible to have an option which makes the game's a.i. take control of your character during difficult action sequences. Then you could switch it off when you want to take back control. That way you can experience the entire game even if you suck at the bang bang & vroom vroom sections.

I highly doubt you will be able to take control of another NPC,

This game is based off real life events. Team bondi making it as realistic as possible. Oh how i wish i could take control of my mother and make her not boss me around oh how i wish Tongue and i bet alot of you do to Wink

I think you misunderstood what I was trying to convey. I mean when the player finds an action sequence too difficult you could choose to let the computer artificial intelligence play out the shooting or driving/chasing sequence for you. Obviously the a.i. controlling Det. Cole Phelps would have to be far superior to that of the enemies to avoid mission failures.
