Problem with The Gas Man case *maybe spoilers?*

Okay. I'm having technical problems with the Gas Man case. And in my search for answers I came across these forums; while I haven't bothered looking through more than the first page of each section, as far as I can see there are no threads discussing similar issues. Might contain slight spoilers I'm not sure. If you're not up to this case why are you even here anyway.

Because I am of stupid when it comes to finding evidence and telling truth from lie, I need walkthroughs. So I find one, follow it down to the slightest detail, and fail. Try another, fail. And another. Fail. Over and over again. Try a bunch of different combinations when visiting places. Look at everything, even the bits and bobs of no importance. Etc etc etc I'll stop rambling now.

But why do I keep failing? Because every walkthrough tells me you need to ask Clemens 3 questions and every time I'm only able to ask 2.

For some reason, it won't show the third question no matter what I do, what evidence I do or don't find, what order I do everything in. At first I thought I could come backand ask it, or that it would appear after asking the others, but to no such luck. Oh, it's the question about his knowledge of Ryan, where he lies and you have to present his anarchist pamphlets as evidence BTW. And it's apparently positively essential to completing the case because after doing everything else you're supposed to be able to go to the Police Station and interview the other two suspects. I was suspicious because I didn't get a prompt to visit the station and my suspicions were confirmed when I arrived because neither suspect was present.

Anyway, this bug or glitch or whatever it is is really beginning to annoy me; I'm just about ready to snap the disk and burn the case. Has anyone had any similar problems? And, more importantly, can anyone help before I actually do snap the disk, burn the case and literally flip some tables?

I played the same case myself yesterday. Although I was able to question the two others at the station, Clemens was still at his place of work and I couldn't really interrogate him or bring him in. Are you sure you showed him the right pamphlets? I think I did something wrong there. In this case it's probably crucial to get all questions right.

Whilst I don't think it'd really matter which set of pamphlets you show him, problem is I can't do it at all. I only have two questions to ask, but according to every walkthrough there are three you need to ask. I can't ask him the question that requires you to show him the pamphlets at all.

Id have to dig in my memory, but wasn't it the first question? If he claims not to know his colleague or not support whatever the pamphlet is about, then there is your opening.

I am having a major glitch too. i started up the gas man case, and when i try to leave the station, the road gets all fuzzy and glitchy, and i can't get out of my car, or restart the case without having to turn off my ps3. Any suggestions?

The easiest way to solve this is type into Google "L.A. Noire The Gas Man interview walkthrough" you should come up with the answers and complete the interrogation and case solved. Also in the notebook in locations if a place has not got a line through it it means there are still clues to be found there.

So I registered now here to help you, because I had the exact same problem. I found your post via google, and now that I realized what is the problem, I mad eit back here to help you finish the case.

So, the problem is that when you're at the InstaHeat Factory, it's not enough to see the Mosquito killer (or wtf , [undefined=undefined]you also have to click on it to further see what's inside[/undefined]. After this done, there's a small discussion, then head back to Clemens, and you can ask the final, third question. This way I could do this, although it made me very angry.

I dont think it would be a glitch or a problem caused by wrong interview answers, it's just that the creators forgot to "tell you" that there's more to see beneath the item.
