RE: LA Noire 2??
That sounds awfully improbable to be done with MotionScan. LAN is already huge; that would be larger than life. Other than a complex mission tree, I think the rest could be done.

One more thing would be if you could decide where you live, what car you have, if you have a wife/kids, etc. It would make the game more personal. If L.A. Noire had this that would be absolutely amazing. Kinda like a mix of Mafia II and LAN. Also, having multiple radio stations in the car (not that I didn't like the one in the game), and some dialogue choices like being nice to your partners or confronting them, kinda in a Deus Ex: Human Revolution way. If you could catch a movie with your partner after a case or hit the pub as a bit of a bonding experience, which in turn would change dialogue between you and your partner depending on how much you've built up your friendship with dialogue or activites. Man, that would be so amazing. The last thing you never saw. |

RE: LA Noire 2??
I think it would be better if L.A. Noire 2 to be set in the 80s!
I mean come on! Beverly Hills Cop, anyone? |

RE: LA Noire 2??
Well Rockstar did say they don't rush to make sequels, but they liked how L.A Noire turned out so they said possibly in the future. If they do make it then I think it show that Phelps actually survived and got washed up in a completely different city. He now has to find out his past (due to memory problems) and make his way back to LA. (Just a thought).

Which means he can't come back. I would like to play as Jack Kelso. I don't want the game to be in the 21st century. The time it is now is good. (30-50's) I really do hope they make a sequel. Does anyone know what year it might come out if they DID make one?

RE: LA Noire 2??
I don't know why people are talking so much about Rockstar. They didn't really help develop the game, rather than just publish it. Team Bondi are responsible for LA Noire, and were working on a sequel called "Whore of the Orient". Rumors have it that Team Bondi have gone out of business though, due to many lawsuits about mis-credits in the closing titles. I wouldn't get too excited about an upcoming sequel.

RE: LA Noire 2??
I really hope they come out with a sequel to L.A Noire. I really loved the first game and I can honestly say this is probably one of my favorite games i have ever played. The only flaw in this game was the ending which for better or worse left me wanted more of this game. I hope that jack kelso becomes the main character of the next game. One of my favorite parts of the games was getting to play as fresh face in the game when I took control of kelso in the final desk. I also hope that the game doesnt take as long as Rockstar took on GTA 5, Red Dead, or Max Payne 3. Saying this I realize that it will probably take 3+ years if a sequel does come out. I just hope above all that there is a sequel.

Since 2006, Rockstar financed and owns L.A. Noire and collaborated with Team Bondi about as much as they would with their own studios to finish the game. Whore of the Orient is in development by former Team Bondi members now at KMM Studios and even if it's a similar kind of game it cannot be officially connected to L.A. Noire because of Rockstar's rights. AFAIK Team Bondi didn't fold because of lawsuits, they folded because they didn't get a new publisher lined up fast enough to maintain cash flow. It's unlikely they got much money from L.A. Noire after it was released because Rockstar probably advanced them all they were going to get in the years before it was done. |

I personally feel that the game was too over-the-top; not genuine enough. The developers have to consider the fact that as human beings we would alllike to switness and experience certain scenes and episodes that reflect off from our real lives, now wouldn't we all?

I thought the game was perfect how they did it and I'd prefer it to be similar (everything already planned, no custom family, house, etc.). I really hope they would keep it in LA in the forties, too (maybe NYC but definitely still the forties). P.S. I hate this thread as I came here before I finished the game and got spoiled.

Maybe because he was never found, or he is alive
