Blurry Images
I just installed LA Noire on my pc. It is running a little slow and that is fine. When I go to click on a clue to view it, or click into my notebook it is blurry. In the notebook I cant even read the words. Does anyone know how I might fix this problem? My laptop is less then a year old, its an HP Pavilion dv6

RE: Blurry Images
I have the same problem - notebook is completely blurred & illegible - does anyone know what we should do - or is it a software fault?
Many thanks! (12-27-2011 04:53 AM)dbarber1356 Wrote: I just installed LA Noire on my pc. It is running a little slow and that is fine. RE: Blurry Images
I've been checking this post for the past few days because I'm having the same problem. I download LA Noire from steam and all the cutscenes and notebook are blurry, but with a thin clear strip on the right hand side of the screen.
I've tried adjusting the graphics in all manner of ways but had no joy. I've contacted Rockstar but not had a reply yet. Hopefully someone here knows a solution. |

RE: Blurry Images
I had this same problem, more-or-less. My notebook was fine, but every clue with text - ledgers, letters, tickets, whatever - was totally unreadable. I have an AMD graphics card and, while poking around for crap to uninstall while troubleshooting, I ended up uninstalling the "AMD Media Foundation Decoders" that came with the Catalyst software, and that did the trick.
If you have an AMD graphics card, you might give it a shot. I posted this solution elsewhere just today, so I'll just paste the steps here (in case it's not obvious how): 1. Run AMD Catalyst installation (11.12 or even 12.1 preview works fine) 2. Choose the uninstall option 3. Choose the "custom" option 4. Select the check box next to AMD Media Foundation Decoders and uninstall If that won't work, someone else said they had success with adjusting the "mipmap" quality settings for their graphics driver, but that wasn't an option in my case. |

RE: Blurry Images
I have the same problem on a Compaq CQ60-615DX notebook PC. The L.A. Noire game notebook is blurry (i.e. fuzzy) and is not readable. When I inspect clues they are also blurry/fuzzy.
Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Mobile 15.17.18.64.2555 (8.15.10.2555) I purchased the game on Steam.
