Can't have two save games?

sorry if i'm being an idiot but can you only have one save game at a time?

Just i want to play it again with a friend without going over my save , will i have to use a diffrent xbox profile to do that?

Yeah, well, I have two saves. It was unintentionally though I wanted to retry a former case I had. After a while I quit playing, and when I started the game up again, and choosed resume at the menu. There was two saves showing up, one from the story and the other save was the retry.

So yeah, if you wanna retry some case with your friend it wont overwrite your "main" save, least it didnt for me

You can have up to somewhere around 8 saves I think including the replay saves. Just hit new game and if over wright a replay save and you can start from scratch with all your unlocks and stuff. You will also get 5 intuition points at the start of every case.

For the record, I started a new game last night since I 100% everything earlier in the day and the game does create a new save file in regards to playthroughs that will not tamper with an old one as it does for mission replays. Just be sure not to delete or screw up your profile/statistics/unlockables save file.

Does it start a new set of stats, of does it add to the old ones?

Keeps the old ones as long as you don't delete your original save.

Stats, collectibles and so on are saved to a separate file, which is active across all saves. So if, for example, you find all the landmarks in one game, then start a case or a new game, the landmarks will be unlocked.

So it sounds like i can safely start a new game and it will create a new save and not affect my current game? I dont want to just replay cases , want to do it all again as a new game.

Why don't you backup your save and try, you got nothing to lose then.
