Can not continue after butterfly

I have completed the butterfly case twice. The first time I did poor and only got one star. The boss told me to fight street crime and then get back for a new job. All of a sudden I'm sitting with my partner and my boss and we are getting a new assignment. At this time, the first time I played, I quit playing. When I got back the next day, I could not access the case after butterfly. It was not in the menu to choose from. Therefore I replayed the butterfly case and got five stars and then when I'm done, I'm getting thrown back out in the main menu where I can choose "new" and "cases" and whatever.

So my question is, how can I access the next mission after butterfly? I have completed it twice.
