Xbox 360 L.a. Noire Not lagging?

I have been noticing people been complaining about lag and the game freezing.

I have not had those problems at all.
I havent installed the disk. Im up to number 2 now.
Let me just say Homicide and the Red Lip Stick Murder is freaking awesome!!

Anyway my Xbox Arcade brought in 2007 with a 120gb HDD has no lag or anything..

So yeh post if you guys arent getting lag or freezeing games.

I haven't had any freezing at all, but I did experience a pretty significant amount of frame dropping during the first foot chase. Other than that it's been pretty smooth for me.

I haven't had freezing so far and I am on the Vice cases. It was only one case where I had horrible lag when smashing into a car during a car chase. Other than that, everything has been smooth on my 360.

no problems on my end, the only thing is the textures in cutscenes load slowly, like 3 seconds and POP they're crystal clear, and ive noticed once a texture has loaded in a cut scene and i go back to that cutscene again, it doesnt have the problem its just they're. Im VERY pleased with this.

But dude you still have the Arcade? I thought everyone had upgraded to slim by now. Seriously save and make the switch if you game on 360. Its the best thing to happen to xbox since xbox live.

Then only lag I experienced was when the Intro played for the first time, the very first intro. (At the beginning) Lagged like hell for 3 - 4 seconds? But I wasnt worried about this because I've seen this in every video.

I have had no lag in my game, the 360 verizon is great

I've the arcade too. With a 250gb harddrive.

The opening cinematic was a little clunky 10 seconds or so in and the framerate drops a little every now and then for me, but it's nothing too bad.

theres some frame rate drop now and then , never had it happen when it mattered though . One noticable place is the crime scene in 'red lipstick murder' and ' golden butterfly' . Around that bit the frame rate isnt smooth .

Maybe they can tweak it in a patch. I think people saying they have no frame rate issue at all are simply wrong , some people dont notice frame rate as much as others . It's obvious its there and mentioned in every review . ITs good for the vast majority of the time . Hope they can tweak it so its smooth all the time .

The only time I really get any lag is in the really populated areas of the city in the daytime, and even then it's very rare.

Just out of curiosity, why are some people getting lag and others not when we are using pretty much identical consoles?

yeah i was expecting to see some lag or frame rate drops in the beginning because i had read that everyone was having it,but i didn't have any problems

I have a brand new Xbox slim, 4GB model with a 250 Gig HD installed, and the game does lag occasionally.

It is never unplayable, but it is definitely noticeable.

LAN really shows the limitations of current gen consoles.

Probably because people define "lagging" differently. PC gamers are probably more likely to complain about lag because most PC games run at 60fps or higher, and L.A. Noire certainly does not.

If people are used to playing sandbox-type games like GTAIV, Bully, L.A. Noire etc. on a console, then they're used to taking framerate dips because games like this not only run at a lower framerate, but they are prone to framerate hits in certain areas.

It's not a difference in console, or game. It's a difference in perspective. Pop in a game like Dante's Inferno and you'll see that games that are designed to run at a constant 60fps usually do, on every console. L.A. Noire is not designed to run 60fps constantly. It's a sandbox game with AI and people who claim to have the game running at a constant 30fps the entire time or are just lying or they aren't keen enough to notice.
