RE: underage gamers
I don't mind them, just when I'm playing and some children around 10 years of age on their microphones swearing at everyone. That's when it's annoying.
Then again, the grown men on red dead can be horrible to the underage gamers because of their voice. I've seen it happen plenty of times. ![]() |

RE: underage gamers
I dont think that content in games will affect people as the press make out. The age restriction in games are there for a reason. To shield children from blood, sex and violence. Same as in movies.
The thing about these restrictions that bother me, is the messed up parents that get these games for their kids, not knowing anything or even bother reading the age restriction or what the game is about, then go batshit crazy when they see their kid shooting people and stealing cars or skinning animals. (GTA, RDR). To shooting aliens or having a romantic session with a team mate (Mass effect) They head of to blame the game industry and the asshats over at fox are just to willing to make a warped story about it. And all the time, the gaming industry have done what have been required of them. Put a age sticker and also a content label on the package, as well as spelling out the reasons for the restriction on the back of the case. I dont mind if kids play games they aren't suppose to play. As long as their parents take the responsibility. Stores aren't allowed to sell a adult game to a kid, and no matter where you live. none that is 11 or 13 looks 18. |

RE: underage gamers
I think most people judge young gamers because the majority of the ones with microphones scream and shout. I, personally, have nothing against them, mostly because I'm under 18 too. xD

RE: underage gamers
They're the main reason I don't play online. I don't mind what they do, even if I don't agree with it. It's not up to me what parents let their children do. I'm fine with them as long as I don't have to play online with them.
And before anyone mentions it, I know that there are young kids out there who are smart. I've seen kids who are much more mature than 20+ year olds. |

Underage gamers online get very upset when they lose. They send insulting messages like LOOSER LOOSSER LOSER! I HATE YOU BITCH! and I;M GOING TO KILLLL YOU FAG LIKE IN REAL LIFE!! even though it was them that lost. GTA is full of them. |

RE: underage gamers
I am an underage gamer (14 and playing Mature games) but I am a recreational gamer: I play for fun. Sure, I get a little upset when I lose, but I don't scream into my mic, I just push it aside and dominate the next game

I love how you were only 7 so you stayed off the prozzies and just went around car jacking and shooting random people...

RE: underage gamers
Punctuation and grammar would help me understand you, OP. Kinda adds to the stereotype.
I'm 14, and not ONCE have I ever been accused of being an "under-age gamer" because I show respect to other players, and am mature for my age (well, either that, or everyone around me is just awful).

RE: underage gamers
Im only 15. The ratings dont really mean anything. What it comes down to is are you mature enough to handle what the company is selling you. Most kids are not ( the kids who go around pretending they have flame-throwers in school) I lost my dad to the war and i can tell you its not very funny to watch kids running around the halls at school pretending theyre blowing stuff up :/
