[PC] Game freezes after logo screens with with loading arrows

Hi guys,
I just bought this game on Steam and I was super excited to play it, however, after launching it, the game froze after the loading screen. I have tried multiple solutions such as changing the compatibility mode or reinstalling microsoft netframe work and none of these have solved my issue. I have also updated my video card driver as well. I am running on Windows 7 64 bit.
Does anyone know how to solve my issue because I really do want to play this game.

Gas Pump Pinging

Whenever I drive a car near gas pumps some weird pinging sounds and sparks start up. Does anyone know what's going on, I've always wondered what it was.

and whene i run the game l.a noire its not responding...
i got a messege and then close the game...
i try to Install agai,Upgrade graphics card

I bought L.A. noire complete edition on steam for 7.50$ when i launch the game it says LANLauncher has stopped working and nothing else i've reinstalled it like 3 times and i have ran it as admin. I don't know what to do and all i want to do is play! HELP!

The game keeps giving me an UNKNOWN ERROR at launch. Rocksar support is telling me my intel 4000 hd graphics card is being used but my nvidia graphics card should be running. I think if I can get my nvidia graphics card to work, it will fix the issue. Any ideas on how to switch my nvidia to active?

i have the steam pc version of the game. the last case of Traffic is not showing, The Fallen Idol. i tried doing a replay of the previous case to see if this would fix it, but it keeps sending me to main menu. i was able to finish both DLC before Fallen idol. i really don't know what else to do.

when i click on Social Club i noticed, the Fallen idol case appears as most failed case. but how can i fail it when i never did it before? really wierd

I noticed there's only one, maybe two active mods on this site, while there's around 2-3 new threads a day. I'm not doubting the skills of the current mods, just wondering where all the old frequent users went like Peach Sherbert.
Surely our old pals wouldn't just leave us....right?

Elizabeth Short links (major spoilers).

Although I fully understand the reasons why the murders of 'the werewolf' had to be pretty tame in comparison to the Elizabeth Short murder (obviously the murders had to be tame enough to show on screen and the victims be in tact enough for the player to be 'comfortable' with), I had to wonder why the writers felt the necessity to link the story up to the Dahlia case at all.

After having commited a crime so incredibly heinous...to go from giving a woman a 'Glasgow smile', bi-secting her, practically removing one of her breasts, stuffing a number of things into her and leaving her in the grass by a sidewalk, it seems quite odd for the killer to only be beating, strangling and stomping the women to death. To me, it didn't feel like it COULD be the same killer (doesn't a serial killer usually get more inventive and confident as he kills, not less?)

Although you essentially catch him, as far as I recall you never find out any motive as to why he brutally killed Short in the first place (I think he suggests that he killed the other women and left the clues to see if he COULD be caught) but did he kill Short just to see if he could get away with murder? It felt so vague as to the reasoning behind it all (just like the real murder, I guess).

I always wonder if perhaps there was meant to be an accomplice (a lot of people speculated that Elizabeth Short was possibly killed by two people because of the amount of work it would have taken to cut through her). I believe 'Tex' was written on a few of the bodies in the game and there seemed to be no reasoning for that (but Tex was apparently one of the nicknames Ira was given, which made me wonder if a: Mason were trying to frame him, or b: he was involved.

Just a lot of things I wonder when I play through all the homocide parts of this game. It felt like the storyline would have worked without any reference to Elizabeth Short.

so exactly as the title says after about 12 hrs gameplay stopped for a few days went to play again and nothing. i have windows 7 on a clean install my pc far exceeds the specs of the game, only thing i found out is .net framework is not compatible with la noire so i uninstalled framework 4.0 and reinstalled the game but again when i went to install la noire it would just go the launch screen i had to manually search the disk and use the setup on disk wtf on a clean install and all this happens? whats up with this game is it gonna always be like this?

Game seems to be bust

Game was working quite well -- then got to The Fallen Idol chapter. The first time the cutscene played (in this playthrough...played The Fallen Idol before and had no problems) it froze and I had to turn it off. Then I got past that cutscene, and got to the next one where you're being talked about the case you have -- and the characters move as if they're speaking, but I hear no audio and their mouths don't even open. The music messed up for me, too. Then I went and got in the car and drove for a while...the textures wouldn't load properly, then I hit a blank wall in the middle of the road (cars still going by) but I just couldn't move, and the textures were still messed up with seemingly no chance of recovering.
Apart from that everything seems normal -- the startup music plays well and this is the only time I've had game-breaking problems. My disc's in perfect condition. Was wondering maybe if changing from scart (I switched to HDMI recently) would make all this happen. Apart from that I've no idea.
Appreciate any suggestions, thank you.
EDIT: Seems I was an idiot and forgot to mention I'm playing on PS3. Oops.

In Newspaper 13 where abouts in the L.A. Noire gameworld does this scene take place on the map or which street is it?? Please, if anyone knows please put it on the forum.

NSIS error while patching

i bought the steam version and the rockstar autoupdater gives me an NSIS error when it needs to install the mandatory patch.

if i start the game in offline mode i just get kicked out saying that i need to exit and install the patch. i sent support quests to both rockstar and steam 4 days ago and while waiting for their replies i've searched the internet with ways to fix this problem with no luck..

anyone have any ideas? i'd greatly appreciate it.. i've yet to play the game and i doubt valve would let me return it..

Reefer Madness for me, it was just epic.
I played all of them, Including "The Consul's Car" Complete Edition Exclusive (Since I have the Complete Edition), it was very fun,
but Reefer Madness had awesome shootouts, and the Case was epic from the start of the case!
