Hello gents,
Decided to pack the game in at 91%, as I am friggin sick of pointless collectables. Have 2 cars to collect which I have been looking for, for around 8 hours. 49 film reels have also been ditched before I even attempted to look for them, and I hear the DLC has even more.
So thats it for my LA Noire experience until Naked City.
What percent did you call it a day at?

I haven't thrown in the towel yet, I'm hoping to get to 100% as well as collect all the trophies... I'm not in a rush so I probably won't get frustrated... I'm currently at 85.7%.

I'm at 93%, still missing 2 cars and most of the film reels. No way I am packing it in now, I still love replaying cases and even some of the street crimes so I forsee me continuing to play this for awile, especially after the PS Store is back up and I can download all of the extra cases.

Not sure what my percentage is. I've got about 20 cars to find, half the film reels, 3 Street Crimes and one case to 5*

I decided to listen to some 80's montage music, and dried my manly rage tears. In doing so I went and found the 2nd to last car.
Go to my other thread about car locations and I may be able to help you.
Best collectables in this game are the sites. The background info really does make you appreciate what Bondi have. But as far as cars an film reels go, they can suck on a bag of dicks.

100% right here (check sig). It took me exactly a week. I hated finding the film reels the most, but the cars were pretty fun.
Now, I await some proper DLC!

how did you guys go about finding things like cars & reels?
did you use a guide or just drive/walk about aimlessly hoping to stumble across them?

I used a strategy guide to help me pinpoint the location, but I found it by myself by walking around that area. I already had 5 or so before I started doing that.

I'm really taking my time just exploring and attempting to memorize the city.

if you log on to the rockstar website social club. go to 100% checklist. open map. then go to whatever you need to find (film reels, street crimes, newspapers or landmarks) it will show you where they are not spot on but around that area.

Currently have 72.1% completed. Still need to finish the arson desk, collect all 50 film reels (have 0), 11 landmarks and find 15 more cars and do 15 more street crimes. Nd i still gotta 5* like ten cases. I hope i finish by time DLC comes out...
